Our Father Roy "AW SHIT"

oldschoolwheelin/dadsjeeponrock.JPG

"JUNK" which is his favorite word, unless you are talking about a Jeep. In 1966, Dad (Roy Prindle) bought a 1965 CJ5 Tuxedo Park. It had a 4 cyl, a three speed, and those skinny Nordsman tires. He fell in love. You couldn't kick the smile off of his face, so I have been told. Being a mechanic, he managed a shop in Burlingame, CA. Roy has a very good reputation as the Jeep guy. If you had a jeep, he is the one you would bring it to, “Period”. We have learned so much from the skills he has shared. When he comes to the shop to see what we are working on, he still has great ideas in mind. Even though he says very frequently, "Poor Jeep" meaning, why does that nice flat fender have 40" tires and a big block. “We just got to keep up with the times Dad...”

Roy
’s little white jeep had many transformations. Power steering, a four speed, and a Buick V6. Many restorations, paint jobs, roll cage, wide tires. Most of this took place in the 70's. HE is still driving the Jeep today. It has not changed much in some years but, its still ready for a Rubicon trip.
“The Dash...” Jeepers Jamboree plaques, and lots of them. About 25 year’s worth cover the original white painted dash. Dad went to every Jeep event he could go to. Even when Ron and I were coming into the world that day in July, Dad could not miss the Jeepers Jamboree. So he wished Mom good luck, and off to the Jamboree he went.
Because of Dad’s passion for Jeep’s, over the years he had a way of transforming friends and family into owning one of their own. Right now we can tally approximately 65 Jeeps between family and friends.
